Hosting Wake Up Chatham at OOT Box Media
There is no better way to start the day than with good coffee, great conversations, and a room full of local business leaders.
In July, we had the opportunity to host the Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce’s Wake Up Chatham Breakfast Networking event at OOT Box Media. It was a meaningful morning for our team and a chance to connect with the local business community in a genuine, welcoming environment.
Events like Wake Up Chatham bring people together to meet new faces, reconnect with familiar ones, and build stronger relationships throughout the community. For our team, it was also an opportunity to open our doors, share what happens inside the Box, and spend time with people who are equally passionate about supporting local businesses.
Why Morning Networking Works
One of the things we appreciate most about Wake Up Chatham is how approachable it feels. A casual morning meetup removes some of the pressure that can come with more formal networking events. Rather than feeling like a sales environment, it creates space for authentic conversations, shared interests, and natural relationship-building. Those conversations matter. They help establish trust, and trust is often where the strongest local partnerships begin.

Since the event was held at our office, attendees were able to experience OOT Box Media in a way they normally might not.
Guests explored our space and got a closer look at:
The cameras, drones, and production gear we use
The computers and software behind our work
Our conference rooms and podcast studio
The spaces where we plan, film, design, and create content for clients
This behind-the-scenes access gave attendees a clearer understanding of what goes into video production, social media content, website design, and digital marketing. It also created opportunities for guests to meet our team and ask questions about the work happening throughout our office.
Showing Our Work in Action
Another highlight of the morning was our video display featuring content we have created alongside our clients. Rather than simply talking about our capabilities, attendees could see our work in action and experience the stories, campaigns, and creative projects we help bring to life.
Several of our clients were also in attendance, which made the morning even more meaningful. It was a great reminder that our work is built on real relationships, close collaboration, and a shared commitment to helping local businesses grow.
Conversations That Mattered
Some of the most valuable moments came from the questions attendees asked throughout the morning. We spoke with guests who wanted to learn more about what happens behind the camera, how our videographers approach a project, and what goes into creating and maintaining a successful website.
Businesses should feel confident in the people they choose to work with. Being able to see the process, meet the team, and understand the strategy behind the work helps people make more informed decisions.

Hosting Wake Up Chatham reinforced something we strongly believe: great marketing starts with connection.
Before a campaign launches, a website is built, or a camera starts rolling, there has to be trust. Community events give local professionals the opportunity to get to know one another, exchange ideas, and create relationships that can grow far beyond a single morning.
